巴勃罗·毕加索（西班牙语：Pablo Picasso，1881年10月25日～1973年4月8日），全名巴勃罗·迭戈·何塞·弗朗西斯科·狄·保拉·胡安·纳波穆西诺·玛莉亚·狄·洛斯·雷梅迪奥斯·西普里亚诺·狄·拉·圣地西玛·特里尼达·路易斯·毕加索（Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz Picasso），西班牙画家、雕塑家，法国共产党党员。是现代艺术的创始人，西方现代派绘画的主要代表。毕加索是当代西方最有创造性和影响最深远的艺术家，是20世纪最伟大的艺术天才之一。代表作品:《格尔尼卡》《和平鸽》《亚威农少女》《生命》。
1881年，毕加索出生于西班牙的马拉加。1897年，毕加索赴马德里的普拉多艺术馆进修。1900年，毕加索前往巴黎工作并生活。1903年，完成画作《生命》。1907年，画作《亚维农的少女》的完成，成为他创造立体派风格的里程碑。1937年，毕加索创作大幅画作《格尔尼卡》，以纪念纳粹对格列尼卡的轰炸。1949年他的作品《和平鸽》被选为国际和平会议海报。1973年，毕加索于法国穆然去世，享年91岁。 [27]

Picasso was born in 1881 in Malaga, Spain. In 1897, Picasso went to Madrid to study at the Prado Gallery. In 1900, Picasso went to live and work in Paris. In 1903, he completed his painting Life. In 1907, the painting "The Maid of Avignon" became a milestone in his creation of Cubism. 1937 Picasso painted "Guernica" in large scale to commemorate the Nazi bombing of Glinica. In 1949, his work "Dove of Peace" was selected as the poster for the International Peace Conference. 1973 Picasso died in Murran, France, at age 91. [27]
Picasso was a prolific painter. According to statistics, he produced nearly 37,000 works, including 1,885 oil paintings, 7,089 drawings, 20,000 prints and 6,121 lithographs. In a poll conducted by a French newspaper in December 1999, he was voted one of the ten greatest painters of the 20th century with 40 percent of the vote.
